Stig,
I guess you did not get a copy of my previous message on
this subject, so I am enclosing it for you.
BTW: 1" = 2.54 cm, so 12.5 cm = 4.92 inches. Fairly close
to the correct 4.875 inches, or 13 cm. specified in the
'correction'.

But what, one may ask, is the 'correct' spacing?
The Factory Workshop Manual states, unequivocally, that the proper
dimension from the front face of the pulley to the pump housing face "(See
Section A" - which shows the pump in a press with dimension arrows from the
block mounting face to the front of the hub face and says 'Refer to
Specifications' {9->)" is 5.15 inches for the 260 and 5.43 inches for the
289 Mk II.
TE/AE Tech Notes takes issue with these numbers, and proclaims strongly,
that the proper dimensions are 4.875 inches and 5.1 inches, respectively.
Many listers have concurred with those numbers from measurements of their
original pumps, and experience.
I am sure our resident experts will verify the correct number, as I still
have the original pump, and can't verify by personal experience.
