Another useful suggestion for Tigers/Alpines.
I found the mirror vibrates when I drive. Plus it
was positioned just right so a roll bar blocked
the mirror. I know the famous Italian quote from
the 'Gumball Rally' when the driver ripped the
mirror from his Ferrari.
'Whatsa behind me, I donta care about'.
I mounted an American day/night mirror by gluing
the stud on the windshield using the special
Floric Acid glue that rearview mirrors use. Its
available and any hardware/discount store. I got
the mirror and stud from the bone yard for $5.
I positioned it so I can see under the roll bar
and the day night feature is great. Its also
vibration free.
Of course I keep the original mirror in the glove
box. For concours nuts, I can remove the mirror
and remount the original in 5 minutes.
