In lieu of a clock, I would recommend an engine hour meter. A good mechanic will tell you its not how many miles an engine has run, but how many hours its has run that determine when to do maintenance. Aviation mechanics refer to this the engine TBO time or Time Between Overhaul. 50 hours would be about right for engine oil change. |
