SpeedVision schedule is at their website at
www.speedvision.com/cgi-bin/schedule? It is sometimes wrong (check your
local listings) and usually incomplete in detail. You have to know that
Legends of Motorsport "In the Lap of the Gods" is the '66 Acropolis Rally
and Legends of Motorsport #106 is the 1977 Portugese Rally. I am trying to
find out what is included in #107 and #108 to be shown this month. I have
bitched to them via email several times about the lack of info with no
apparent effect.
Don't worry about wear on a works rally car. They would crack test and
replace anything subject to wear or even slightly suspect every event.
Cars were replaced (reshelled) frequently - I bet the ADU311B that ran the
'64 Geneva was not the same shell as the ADU311B on the '66 Acropolis (the
last factory Tiger rally) even if it had the same chassis plate. Tiny
Lewis crashed it on the '65 Alpine and it's easy if you own the rivets!
I have taped any '60s rallies I can find, including the 3 with Tigers I
know about, but they are all mixed together. I have started a new tape for
just Tiger events which has the Acropolis so far. Once this is complete, I
could get copies made but they are seldom good quality at the second
generation. David Duncanson is looking for a commercial source in the UK.
