CAT Shop Notes, published by CAT for members, has an extensive section on weld
reinforcement of front cross members. I believe it is copy right protected, or
I'd send some info. There are drawings of where to put what size and shape
gussets.
Any CAT officers out there to verify if quotation is allowed?
There are two books, One large, the other thinner, as a supplement. They are
not "new" news, but contain a lot of helpful stuff. TE/AE has something
similar, but concentrates more on the Alpine.
It's probably worth joining up just to get these manuals. $25/year.
Steve.
