Folks,
I just measured the bore on the new dual master
cylinder and it is 15/16" for both sections.
The bore on the Tiger single cylinder is 7/8".
Peddle pressure ratio is directly porportional to the
area of the pistons.
(2* ((15/16)/2)^2 * pie)/((7/8)/2)^2 * pie = 2.3
Therefore the new master cylinder would take 2.3 times
as much force for the same braking effect as the Tiger
cylinder. My back will not take that.
I will need a dual master cylinder with 5/8" bores
to be about equal to the original Tiger cylinder.
That gives a ratio of 1.02.
Any one need a slightly modified new rebuilt 74-77
Mustang master cylinder boat anchor?
