Mark,
Speaking for myself, but believing I am not alone, it is not
a sin to own an Alger. What most object to is the owner who
attempts to pass his construct off as a real Tiger. What
all vehemently oppose is the misrepresentation of an Alger
in a sale, which is illegal.
Go ahead. Buy, or build, the car you want and can afford.
Be openly proud of what you have done. There will still be
some who are snobs, but their heart isn't in the right
place.
