Legnth 186", Wheelbase 105", Weight 3500-4000lbs.
1966-71 engine was 383 @325/330 bhp
1971-76 engine was 440 @350/385 bhp
Price new approx. $15,500 U.S.
The Jensen Healy, 1973-77 was:
Legnth 162-166", Wheelbase 92", Weight 2200-2400 lbs
Engine was 1973 cc (I believe) 140 bhp
Price new $4795 U.S.
As you can see they were two entirely different animals. The Intercepter was
expensive and a pretty good match for a Cobra. The approximate production
was
6387 units.
There was a Jensen FF model which was built 1966-71, used the Crysler 383,
was
4 wheel drive in some models and had 318 units built.

A little more Jensen related trivia-
The Jensen Healey had a Lotus/Ford twin-cam motor and was, and is, a very
successful SCCA road race and autocross car. The only things it had going
against it was, uh, "controversial" (read, butt-ugly) styling and typical
1970's British build quality.
The Interceptor was not in any way a Cobra-type car. It was a full four-place
tourer, again with questionable styling (IMHO) which weighed at least
4,000lbs. The interior was all Connally hides, Wilton carpet and wood. Also, I
seem to remember some kind of Lear audio system which was of very good quality
for the time (how good can an 8-track sound?). A better comparison might have
been an Aston Martin DBS V-8?
The most interesting of the bunch is the FF. This was the result of a joint
venture between Ferguson and Jensen, and was one of the first applications of
full-time, performance 4WD, at least 10 years before Audi came out with their
first Quattro.
Probably more info than needed on a non-Tiger related subject, but what the
heck.
I guess all that time spent reading Road and Track instead of "See Jane run"
in 1st and 2nd grade finally paid off...
