Dave,
You are correct. BTDT. In using the A and B stuff, you must also consider the
slope of the engine, the motor mount condition, and the slope of the hood. Got
caught on the F4B and Holley actual LAT I option having the stock air cleaner
front corners kiss the inside of the paint on the hood with a Boss 302 1/4 inch
spacer for PVC. Had to remove Holley 1850 bottom plate and put new 1860 unit
on to get the vacuum without the 1/4 inch space. Problem solved. You've got
1/4 inch to futz with.
