Item Subject: Brake Servo Units
To Mike & Listers,
I may be totally off-base, but didn't Lockheed acquire Girling
(company or name) some time ago?
Given that the rate of corporate mergers and acquisitions is
accelerating, it's quite possible that we may be purchasing Tiger
components from the Sunbeam company again (the appliances not the
bread company).
Some of the CATO club members here have actually removed the booster
with great results. It seems that anyone with a decent left foot can
deal with non-boosted Tiger brakes. I hear it gives a nice firm feel.
Any other similar experiences out there?

I need some information if anyone could help.
My car has a Girling MK2A brake booster 5".
Why does the later Tigers have the bigger 7"booster? All the brake
components seem to be the same on all Tigers.
My booster is cracked and needs replacing.
I have located a 7" Lockheed booster. Would it be better to upgrade it to
the 7" anyway?
Would I be better to stick with the original size, 5" but a Lockheed?(I
can't seem to locate a new Girling one.(no surprise)
Thanks for your help Mike
