I had the oil pressure gauge line let go on the way home the other
night. I haven't seen that much smoke since the seventies. It was a
nylon 1/8" line with compression fitting. It sprung a leak where it
made contact with the hot exhaust manifold bolt as it makes the turn to
the block fitting. I have purchased a replacement copper line from
Autometer.
Are there pros and cons to using the 1/8" copper line as opposed to the
nylon? Are there any installation points I should consider? I only
want to clean this engine bay (and suspesion components, drivetrain,
rear bumper, it's amazing where this stuff went) one time=)
