It might work, depending on how much of the hose you can
allow to stick straight back, and still connect to the other
end.
Getting the filter out of the hose, for cleaning, however,
may be difficult. You may need an "extractor" to yank it
out of a "chinese finger trap" hose that won't let go, or
cut the hose and replace it every time you examine or clean
the filter.
Try the brass one, it works.
