If you had converted to silicone when you rebuilt the servo, it would have lasted virtually forever. The water-absorbing properties of conventional brake fluid introduce corrosion to the cheap pot metal internal bores, and failure results. Tiger Tom rebuilt my servo about 15 years ago, and it still soldiers on, fueled by silicone. Al J. |
