You've got Ramon's math backwards. $1200/$45 per rod = 26 2/3 rods.
Subtracting the one for the clutch, this means Ramon's remarkable car
exceeds all expectations in that it has 3.2 valves per cylinder. Or maybe
it has the conventional two valves per cylinder, but he uses 1.6 rods per
valve. It all depends on how you do the math; we need more data to
complete the picture.
After all, straight arithmetic really can't be THAT complex!
