Thanks for the response (positive and negative) about Tiger and Miata. Some of
you posted back privately, think you wouldn't want to publically embarass me,
but I'm thick-skinned.
Some of you took issue with my allegation that your Tigers weren't up to the
task of lasting a trip to work and back. I'm glad those cars are sorted out
well, I
wish the rest of your cars were, and I will finish this thought telling you
that no
car gets more dependable by letting it sit in the garage longer. Drive them
more.
One chap thought Miatas were "sissy" cars. Does this also include TR's, MGB's,
Lotus Elans. Or, does A/C and a top that raises in 30 seconds qualify for
"sissy"
status?
One guy really got to the meat of the issue when he posted that a standard size
cooler won't fit in the trunk. Personally, I think folks who don't buy cars
simply
because they lack cupholders are silly. But, the cooler test is a valid one.
Finally, I called Stu Brennan ( the wannabee point man) to make sure I didn't
misunderstand him ( I apparently didn't) and we might discuss it more when we
host British Car Day in Boston this Sunday.
