Steve and the List,
Good point. Question is (and it may be stupid,) but can we not tweek the
timing a bit as well to offset for the altitude?? I currently run my Accel
dual point at 7 degrees BTC and am thinking about changing it to 10 BTC.
The only thing I can't recall right now is if it is better to retard or
advance timing at high altitudes.
And no, I ain't gonna bench the double-pumper for the weekend.......may
however, adjust the timing and the fuel regulator....for what it's worth.
See you all up there......look for the geek in the white Tigger, sporting a
tad of facial hair, who keeps asking to take a picture of your Tiger.
Please note: geek is known to carry a six pack for consumption at any time.
Regards,
Allan

1) Just a little reminder about "tuning". Big Bear is above 5,000 feet (I
believe), and unless you are going to re-jet your carb, wxpect really poor
performance. If you do rejet your carb, do it up there, or expect a
miserable
and lean trip to the site. If you do alter the tuning for altitude, it
still
won't perform anywhere neart sea-level standards, due to lack of oxygen.
2) Don't tell the Vettes!
