The best quick and dirty test is to find an <bold>open</bold> paved area
with clean pavement. At reasonalbly slow speeds (10 -12 mph) you jump on
the brakes locking them up. At that speed, the skid marks are short and
you should be able to determine if one of your wheels is not locking up
by the lack of one of your four tire skid marks. If you cannot lock up
your wheels, you may have overall system problems associated with the
brake master, pedal linkage, or booster.
