Jim,
Great idea, a mist cooler for the Tiger. Just bought one for myself last
summer. came in a nylon sling bag and had a 3" PVC Pipe with end seals, two
internal chambers seperated by a diaphram, and approproiate stowable connectiosn
for a garden hose and a built in mist-hose woth adjustable clamp. You charged
it with a garden hose, which took in the water, and pressurized the seperate
section with hose pressure. When you needed a mist, you could just release some
pressurized water throgh a small hose with a "mister end". Clamped near one's
face, it allowed transpiration cooling, and it does work (till you run out of
charge pressure). A larger version would sork for a car, for short periods.
Could be stored in the trunk, and removed quickly. Could even run another line
inside to cool yourself. Bet a modified bar-b-cue gas bottle could be used,
with the right plumbing.

BTW: The correct Rootes approach, of course, would be to distribute the mist
with a small manually operated dashboard pump, receiving the water from a
container marked "Rootes", of course.
