RE:Tach Problem

     Hi Curt:
     
     Have you checked your ignition switch?  In the "crank" position, it 
     bypasses the ballast resistor and the tach.  The switch might not be 
     always switching back to "run" after the car starts.  If you have the 
     original points, they will be failing frequently.  An electronic 
     ignition might not notice.
