James; I'll bet you that the car still has the Ford stock linkage! Even
when new their action was refered to as "a stick in a bucket of sand"!
Thirty years of use hasn't helped.
Personaly, I'd loose the stocker and replace it with a Hurst set up. Fix
it once and it'll never bug you again.They still sell all the parts! I
have all the Hurst P/N's. Email me if you want them. It's cheaper to
just order the parts at your local speed shop than pay a big markup from
a Tiger specialist. They'll do the same thing and mark it up as a "Tiger
Shift Kit". BTW- you can still get the NOS shift from Ford suplliers
@$350. The Hurst at 1/2 the price is 10X better!
