I don't own any of the LAT options but what I remember from Gordon Chittenden's
book, 'Tuning the Sunbeam Tiger', the Edelbrock F4B came with the 465 CFM Holley
when bought without the LAT cam. If the cam was bought with the Edelbrock
intake, the 715cfm carb and 7000 rpm tach was included in the set. I believe
the cam was listed as a separate LAT option orderable by itself. You had three
separate options: manifold with small carb(LAT1), manifold with cam and large
carb(LAT3), and cam by itself(LAT20). I think I got the LAT numbers right.
Mr. Chittenden warns against using the 715 carb and manifold without installing
the LAT cam. Too much carb for the engine.

Owner's of Original LAT-1,-3,-20 option:
I am somewhat (?) confused by Norman's multiple descriptions of the
LAT-1, LAT-3, LAT 20 options. Does anyone have the "Factory" original
induction kits with the "Factory" F4B Edelbrock and the "Factory"
Holley?
I am confused between the "Holley 703 4V", the "465 CFM Holley 1-12-4
List 1848", the "600 CFM 1-14-4 List 1850" listed in the book.
I am sure that the 715 CFM C4AF-9519-D LAT 39 is much too big for 260.
What came with your Factory F4B system, and are you happy with it. What
modifications were made to engine or carb? Would you use the same one if
you had a choice amongst what is currently available.
Thanks,
Steve
