As Joe Hankins mentioned in an earlier message, I am looking at his
minilite clones. They were made by "Western", and are 13x5.5. The
back measurement, rear rim edge to mounting surface, is around 4.5",
about the same as stock Tiger rims, so the extra width is all outward.
Is anyone else running these, or know anything about them? Does
anyone make reverse thread nuts for them, or will I have to swap
     studs on that hub?

They do not have a hub cover, so the ugly hubs show through. There
was a CAT tech tip years ago, by Harry Elam, that mentioned that
Western had a near duplicate of the LAT70 spinners, that looked like
it could be adapted to several types of wheels. I'm not sure I would
want the knockoff look, but I would want to cover the hubs. Any ideas
     out there?

I have a very fresh set of 175-70 Dunlops on my current stock rims,
and I would consider swapping these to the Westerns. Their diameter
is around 24.5 inches (by crude yardstick estimate), and they aren't
touching anything. On these 5.5 inch rims, I'm guessing they would
get a bit closer to the valence panel on turns. Any guesses as to if
     they would touch anything?

     Thanks for the help.

     Stu
