California only, Curious, if you own a '66 or newer vehicle but it has a pre-'66 engine, could DMV be persuaded to qualify the car as exempt from the bi-annual smog check? Wishful thinkin' but always thinkin', Jeff >When I went through the bi-annual sales pitch to get my Tiger smogged two years ago, a fellow from the referee hot line told me that foreign cars 1967 & earlier could have any engine you wanted.
