When I showed up at a "Sacred Octagon" meet here in the Boston 'burbs with my black lacquered 53 MGTD powered by a Pontiac GTO some years ago, huge Goodyear Bluestreaks filling the back wheelwells, there was little reverence for divergent thinking. They were worried about lining up the screw slots paralell to each other. Didn't really fit in. Too many years spent reading Rod & Custom, Honk!, and Hop Up. Not enough Road & Track. Can you dig it?
