If the rivets are the same as the original you will have to tarnish and grunge 
them up. Otherwise, they will be too shiny and clean and suspicions will be 
raised that your Tiger's ID has been tampered with.

Speaking of rivets I still have never heard from anyone what the 
originals look like. I have several sets of NOS TIGER rivets in 
Chryco parts bags and I would like to know if they could be used to 
re-attach ID plates removed for bodyshell restoration . . .  on 
second thought I guess they could be used what I want to know is 
would they look original and pass TIC . . ah . . TOE . . . ah  . . . 
TAC or what ever?
