Mark there was a good article in "grassroots motorsports" about racks.
"For vintage racing in VARA events, Akuziewski goes to great length to
correct ackerman problems, dipping back into solutions for this and other
problems developed by Doane Spencer for the Hollywood Sports Cars Tiger.
He uses another trick introduced by Ken Miles on the original Tiger
prototype:The rack out of an early MG Midget works well. Almost no changes
are required for installation. The rack bar is longer, so it helps with
the ackerman problem and bump steer. The rack is supported at each end and
provides a faster steering ratio."
It seems to me that I saw these racks in the Moss sales cat. real cheap once.
It might be worth while to get a hold of Dale Akuziewski of Dale's
Restorations in San Bernadino Ca. and ask more about this. Anyone living
