I believe you are familiar with the view of a cooling fan when seen from the
rear.
There is nothing wrong with the fan in that picture.
Fans may have a leading edge & a trailing edge, but turning them around has
no bearing on the direction of air flow. A fans rotation must be reversed to
change the direction of air movement.
