ALL;
-I have the same kind of deal..with 4 cars & "full-boat" insurance.
'66 TIGER
'87 CROWN VICTORIA
'91 TRACER
'95 CHEROKEE
-I pay $1,000/yr for the 4 cars...fire, theft, comp.,
collision,uninsured motorist, etc.The TIGER has "collector-car"
insurance, the other 3 are used alternately to commute 60 miles/day.
-I also have mileage restrictions on the TIGER & it required an
"official" appraisal ahead of time to avoid any arguments
after-the-fact for settlement from a set of "fuzzy" photo's.
-Do your homework, get an appraisal, be prepared or your Insurance Co.
will give the minimum for a TIGER,....$2,500.00 regardless of
condition, money spent, how trick, etc. Forewarned is fore-armed.

If the high cost of insurance is one of the considerations for selling your car,
you should look into collector car insurance. See Hemmings Motor News. You have
to own another car for everyday use, and there are some mileage restrictions,
but I pay less than one hundred bucks for my mgb-gt including fire and theft -
in NYC!!!
