Yes, on page 12 of the book, he mentions that he was writing the Cobra
Guide, and driving a Cobra lent to him by the factory, when he got
together with his friend Ian Garrad - February, 1963, and they discussed
the conversion. Carroll takes credit for taking Garrad over to Shelby in
Venice.
