"decades long" may be an understatement. Several years ago, as a gag
gift, one of my daughters put me on the waiting list. Every year I get
a nice postcard from the Packer ticket office telling me where I am on
the list -- as of a week ago, I'm number 29,747.

==========
Good luck, Jim, as there is virtually nil turnover from year to year.
Around here, many people put a newborn child on the list hoping they will
eventually get tickets. Many people's wills tell where they want their
tickets to go. It really is a huge deal.
I am 53 years old and for years have never even considered getting on the
list as there is no way I could possibly live long enough to ever get
tickets.
