Let me illustrate the difference between IL & WI...
Wed., I had to get a new IL driver's license. (Long story, told later).
Typical stop at the IL Sec. of State in IL? Usually schedule 3 hours.
About 150+ people waiting in line. You have to talk to the folks in one
section for plates, and totally different section for driver's licenses, and
even stand in another line for the privilege to pay for this fine service.
Now, I have to admit, it's better than it used to be. They now have chairs.
They've also been weeding out corruption, and, the long time
(read..."union") seem happier, and slightly more polite to the citizens of
IL.
Contrast that to my stop at the DMV in Fond du Lac.
The employee count was 4, the citizen count was 3. Same person behind the
counter handled the licenses, plates, and payment. In and out in 10 minutes,
with polite, friendly folks.
I will not become a Packer fan though...

I hope you enjoy the life here, personally I could not imagine living in
Illinois, it seems so stressful.
I think after your first collector license plate you will LOVE our plate
system also. (first one is kinda pricey)
Would have liked to offer help moving your stuff, but I have an autox
school for the Saturday already paid for, and then our Dragon boat
practices start on Sunday, hoping to sneak away and at least get a peek
at the cars at RA on Sunday 15 but, am not sure.
Today and tomorrow are my eight year olds first Soap box derby. Possible
the week of May 16 during the week, I could snag a half a day for you,
in the middle of the week, if you still need help. Let me know after
your big push.
And to RON. There are more messages that come to the lists from fib land
that people don't understand, than cheezland, but I think that may be
because of the Miller Lite distributor, some where around Hinsdale LOL.
