You won't regret it -- there isn't a better show in all of vintage racing.
My most lasting image comes from walking through the pits and seeing a row
of a half-dozen 250F Maseratis on one side and an equal number of D-type
Jags on the other. ALL of which were competing in the weekend's races.
Many of the drivers are pros (though mostly retired and perhaps occasionally
a tad rusty), but there are others whose main qualifications for the event
appear to be good taste in racing cars and truckloads of money. Aggressive
driving abounds, but the one-car-wide chicane on the main straight is a
guaranteed invitation to disaster for even the most highly skilled . . . :-)
