I used Hepolites in the Red Rat motor, at 12.7:1 for 6 hard years of racing.
They were not the cause the motor finally went south...(it was the
restrictors in the crakshaft that backed out...)
Hepolites are fine. Running them too lean is not fine.

I had calculated it at 10.9:1 after cc-ing the head and measuring everything
else. Winners Circle did not steer me away from the Hepolites, but perhaps
they should have. Dunno.
