Research complete:
Indeed, the Road America website <www.roadamerica.com> does
not list the Brian Redman International Challenge for '01 but
rather the "Vintage International Challenge". The RA office
called me this morning and very kindly provided the following
info for the List:
Approximately 2 weeks ago the relevant parties agreed to renew
their participation and/or sponsorship of the BRIC for 2001.
The RA website will be updated to reflect this at a later date.
The July 19-22 event will celebrate the 35th Anniversary of the
Can Am series. Jim Hall is slated to attend, possibly with a
Chaparral or two, and his contributions to the sport will be
celebrated also.
On a different note, construction is underway inside the Carousel
and outside (north) of Turn 8. They are building a 3/4 mile mini-
road course, a 1/5 mile oval, and a 1/8 mile dragstrip complex.
