If the kit is what I think it is, it is a die penetrant kit not a magnaflux 
kit.  This kit sprays red penetrant which penetrates down into any cracks.  
Then when you spray the white top coat the red bleeds back thru and makes any 
defects very obvious.  This will work very well for the kind of defects we 
are looking for if used properly.
This is a good way to check for potential problems yourself.
