Here's a couple more:

1) Any part of a race car that breaks should be made stronger. Every part
that doesn't break should be made lighter.

2) The first concept of superior principle is always defeated by the
perfected example of established practice.

Conundrum)
   (The real conundrum being that one of the above said this, but I can't
remember which one it was)
