Hi All,

I need some advice on what to ask for my 1956 100M vintage race car should I
decide to sell it.

It's in great condition, ready to race except probably needs a new battery by
now. The complete engine has just undergone an excellent rebuild, designed for
speed, but reliability. We used forged 10.5:1 pistons, matched and ported the
head and a new crank. It has a fuel cell, dual fuel pumps (which may need to
be replaced with a couple that I also have), high lift Crane cam, fuel pump
cut off switch, cold air box, fire system, full roll bar. It has already
passed inspection for almost every race org in the US, including HMSA and
CSRG. It's competitive as is, but I would put a 3.54 rear end in it next. It
currently has a 4.1. It's RHD, with 4 speed trans. It's Old English White over
Lobellia Blue, the same as the 100S colors, louvered hood, strap, etc.

The body is good, no rust.

I would add some baffles to the front to trap the airflow altho it doesn't
overheat. Usually runs at 190 or 195 deg. under racing conditions. The new
engine has only about 100 miles on it, about 20 racing. Still has the break in
oil in it.

I really don't know how much to ask for it. We paid 20K and have totally
redone the engine and much of the car. I've got about 4K more in that.

The best thing about the car is its race history. It's literally been raced
all its life and all over the US since it was imported and UK before that.

It's been sitting in my garage for the last year, not started up. I had hoped
that I would feel brave enuf to race it myself, but am still at the solo
level. The car really needs to remain visible and out on the track with a
good, careful driver. I can also dig out more of the details. It's registered
for street use, but has no wires to the headlites and uses only race gas. It
also has only an aeroscreen little windshield. I have several spares for it as
well.

It's located in the SF Bay Area of CA.
