Howard,

Look for "Rec" gas. Around here the alcohol feee stuff is called "recreatio=
n gas" and it's intended use is boats. But it's perfectly legal to use it i=
n a street car. Here it usually costs about a dollar a gallon more the the g=
as with ethanol, unless you buy it at a marina. 110 octane leaded race gas i=
s available at many gas stations here too, only $6.99 a gallon. :-)

That's a beginning. Pumps seem to like being close to the tank pushing fu=
el as opposed to being well away from the tank and pulling fuel.

in the posterior if anything has obstructed the tube , end of the tube rust=

ed wrong & peeling off , clogging the pickup tube. Another fun one ( happe=
ned to my car early in my ownership!) Is the lost has cap , rag stuffed in t=
he filler neck and OOPS , rag ended up in the tank! Does nothing initially=
but eventually the electric pump sucked the tag against th e pickup tube , a=
nd sediment fouled the rag and it acted like a blocked fuel filter. Started=
, ran for a bit and would quit... That drove me crazy until I dropped the t=
ank , pulled the sending unit and looks into the tank ! =20
> Mike somewhere you have a restriction keeping your fuel from freely flowin=
g from the pickup in the tank to feed your pump. Possibly an internally co=
llapsing rubber fuel line connecting pump to tank? This ethanol fuel has d=
one some rather odd stuff to rubber components over time.
