For the BEST results I have had over the years, AFTER chem bath and then
media blasting, ("Skat-Blast" *_IS_* *BEST* at LOW pressure) I rinse
any/all parts
with "Busty" or paint thinner.

Next, everything gets a coat [ ONE (1) ] of "Extend" or "Rust Treatment"
[ Permatex Part # 81849 ]. Let dry/cure thirty-six (36) hours. When
ready to
Final Coat Paint, rinse as above & let dry a hour or so. Every part
'seems' to be
different !?!?!?
Foregoing is followed by a SINGLE coat of Eastwood "Chassis Black" ! ! !

Whilst the stuff is not cheap, it IS the hardest coating besides
actual Powder
Coating you will ever see/use ! ! !
If you can't find either "Extend" or "Rust Treatment", I have
in-stock. Ditto
"Busty" [ which Frank used <G> & Diane nor Tiff NEVER said a word
<VBEG> ] ! !!
Good Luck and "enjoy", Jim <VBEG> ! ! !
