Try the VW GTI four door hatch.

My son just replaced his 2002 GTI 1.8T, 180 hp, 5-speed with a new 2012 
GTI 2.0T, 200 HP, 6-speed on Saturday. Got a great end of year deal. He 
let me drive it half way home and it is more awesomer than the 2002 was. 
That kind of power with the 4-doors and hatchback is an unusual but 
thoughtful combination
