Check out this video of a racing Healey 3000 with a video camera
fixed to show the rear suspension travel. Although this does not answer your
question directly it does highlight the movement of the axle particularly
under hard acceleration, which causes greater travel than when cornering.
Can't tell if the car has a panhard rod but being an FIA spec car does not
have anti-tramp bars. Also, note how hot the rear discs get under heavy
braking.
