I was faced with the same question a few years ago. my brake and clutch worked
but I decided to rebuild them. Once I took them apart I could see the bores
where clean so just rebuilt them. Getting the inner clip off the master can be
a bit tough. Also I took a picture of the piston after I removed it to help in
the reassembly. Two years later (with Dot 5) all works well.
However, I saw some a bit of rust in the clutch slave and just tossed it.

Any advice on rebuilding my 74 brake master cylinder?
Better to rebuild or buy new one from Moss/VB for about $150?
I am planning on just replacing rubber? Is this easy to remove from car?
Thanks again for all your advice!!!!
Jeff
