I do the insurance stuff for our clients. Some of them have collector cars
(but no Spridgets).
I suggest Grundy. They have the best deal and the least restrictions that I
have found so far.
Be careful with regular insurance companies like State Farm and Prog. Make
absolutely sure they are giving you "AGREED" value and not "STATED" value.
Stated value means nothing. If you total the car, they give you ACV, which
is about $500 for a 40 year old car.
The collector car insurance companies all give real, agreed value. You
total it, they write a check for that amount. Then you can then make an
offer to buy it back.
In any case, READ THE FINE PRINT! That's what I do so our clients don't
have to.
