Frank drives a 1/2 ton. It would follow the lathe right through the back wall
and into the neighbor's living room.

Just plank a chute on the staircase to the cellar. Use pipe rollers and
let go.
The way it's built the lathe won't break. Might go through the back wall
if you
don't tie it off to your truck for belaying though.
