An interesting project dropped ( and I do mean literally dropped) into my
lap last week and I have been trying to find out online as to where the
motor serial number on the cases is located. Lots of info after you find
the number but none as to where it is located on the cases so thought maybe
someone on list might have a resourse. It is a 1960's vintage Bultaco flat
track race bike. Based on the size of the head I would guess it is a 400 cc
model but want to ascertain the exact motor. Scary looking machineto ride
as there are no provisions for brakes on the hubs or frame.Youtube videos of
them racing are entertaining to say the least. It will go into the upstairs
of my shop for a rainy day project but I would like to gather info on it so
when I decide to tackle it for a restoration I will have all the peculiars
on hand. Motor is free and has awesome compression and it was stored
indoors which is a good thing. Very complete!!! Any one on list familiar
with Bultaco's?? Dane, are you out there??
