Does anyone have a gear reduction starter on the bench? Mine is not
engaging and I need a pic of the pinion and pinion spring on the shaft
in the "engaged" position. Grab it and pull it out for a pic. I think
mine has shed a split ring or something that pushes the pinion towards
the end of the shaft when it is extended. Mine can float back and
forth freely when the shaft is extended. Just can't be right!
