I agree if you just shop by price you will generally get crap. Cheap parts are
cheap whether made in china, india or by general motors. The last GM car I
owned was in the 70s. I have rented a few on trips and find the engineering
lacking.
You can get better quality from china but that does not include the cheap stuff
from home depot.
I have a Nikon 18-200 vr lens that was made in china, after a year of use,
around the world travel and 10,000 pictures it still works just fine.
I also replaced my Jet table saw with a Delta to upgrade the precision. You
know the Jet was made in China.
Bottom line is you usually get what you pay for.
And let us not forget that the reason brits drink warm beer is that lucas made
refrigerators.

Put some chinese parts on your car and when you have to change them
after staring it once or twice you'll understand. Especially if you
