Oh no, no, no, no. This is without doubt a good profitable money making
venture that has paid for itself many times over. The cameras are being
covered because the operating costs have to be covered by the Local
Authority (Local Council) but the revenue gained has to go to Government.
Look for a change in revenue direction and the covers will be removed
quicker than Frank can start a 948 on the garage floor.
If you want a rather late heads up on investment go for the camera systems
with automatic number plate recognition that are uplinked to central
computer systems. They will track you, calculate your speed between the
cameras, allow road use pricing and let big brother follow you and your car
wherever it goes. They work in the dark using infra-red at distances around
1000 yards (tested in excess of 1 mile). Because they work at that distance
they can be at a low enough angle to look into the car for facial
recognition software to work. This allows for every paranoid's nightmare to
come true. They are also mounted too high to burn!! US gun laws have some
use after all! <smile>
