Double check that you've timed with #1 coming up and both valves are closed
on #1. Then double check that plug wires in the correct firing sequence in
the distributor cap. ...bill in corvallis

Subject: [Spridgets] bugeye not starting
Ok the dizzy was 180 degrees out.I have set the static timing and
replaced the distributor.Carbs are getting fuel,backfiring some.The
exhaust is not hooked up except for the manifold. There appears to be
yellow fire coming out of the manifold where it would be attached to
the exhaust pipe.I suppose it could be the coil or a carb problem.Any
suggestions?
