It should be no harder to work than some grades of Stainless Steel. Just use the proper tools, feeds, and speeds. Ti isn't a vodoo magic substance. http://www.titanium.com/titanium/tech_manual/tech2.cfm I haven't done much machining in Ti but I know a guy who does a lot of amateur lathe/mill work and he doesn't have a special set of tooling for Ti.
